    Abstract:

As we known, the key character of deep water exploration is the difficulty of drilling and engineer, capital and cost are very high. Aimed at multiple hydrocarbon—water system reservoirs resulted from traps of complex faulted blocks and reservoir of deep water sediments, according to the national criterion, in order to prove oil and gas presence, drilling on every faulted blocks is obligatory, there must be no benefit from deep water exploration and development. Faced with the above challenges, firstly start with the study of reservoir forming conditions, especially deep water gravity-driven structure and deep water sediments. On the one side, structure mode is built through researches on structural evolution and characters and classification of deep water gravity-driven structures. On the other side, based on deep water sediments description, gravity flow density controls deep water sediments through analyzing the sea level eustacy and decides two kinds of depositional modes. Then we recognized that gravity structure controls the reservoir formation in deep water area and the relationship between deep water sediments and oil and gas reservoir size after studying structure, deposition, reservoir formation and oil and gas distribution. Finally based on the above study, put forward that following the faults to confirm structure and track oil and gas, taking sediments as units to evaluate and calculate resource. To deep water complex targets, take advantage of the above thoughts, reach the aim to prove most resource with lest wells and realize maximization of economical benefit.
