    Abstract:

Glutenite sedimentary system has a complex internal compositon owing to the multiple development and deposition. At present, no practicable method is available for the fine division and correlation of glutenite sedimentary cycles at home and abroad. In this paper a new method of fine division and correlation of glutenite sedimentary cycles based on secimentary inversion using the well sedimentary sequence is put forward. We use drill core to portray FMI and then distinguish 4 kinds of sedimentary sequences: Bouma cycle, high density turbidity flow, middle fan channel and outer fan mudstone and build the FMI-sedimentary sequence further. The cycle interfaces are distinguished under the direction of sedimentary sequences. According to standardizing logging curves by FMI, combining cores, FMI and borehole log, and on the basis of distribution regularities of sedimentary facies belts, we use the contrasting method to contrast multi-cross well cycles in the principle :from large scale to small scale, from top to bottom. The areal facies change problem can be perfectly solved with this method.
