    Abstract:

Xujiagou copper deposit lies in the northwest of Tongchang ore field in the central MianxianLueyangYangpingguan copper polymetallic mineralizationintensive area. The ore body is hosted within the schistose spilite zone of middleupper Proterozoic, and 13 orebodies have been delineated, but most of orebodies are blind. The mineralization consists mainly of pyritizationpyrrhotitizationschistositied spilite, indicating a volcanic sedimentarytectonics and magmatic reformation type copper deposit. The spilite of Guojiagou Formation is the source of copper mineralization. The nearly EWstriking schistose structure zone in spilite provides channels and space for enrichment of oreforming material. The Tongchang diorite provides mineralization with dynamics and thermal source, especially sulfur. The formation of the Xujiagou copper deposit is controlled jointly by abovementioned stratum, structure and intrusive rock.
