    Abstract:

Since the 1960s, many deposits were successively found in Yeniutan area of Gansu Province, such as W, Ag, Fe and so on. Through studying the geological background, stratigraphy, characters of deposits occurred in the Yeniutan area, controlling factors, mineralization, genetic types are summarized. The mineralization modes are concluded on the basis of analysis of mineral source. The result indicates that deposits are mainly controlled by the rock, stratum and faulted structure. Especially, the rocks in Yeniutan area is the chief controlling factor, the engine and dynamic force of mineralization. The formation of the Yeniutan ore field consisted of two periods. In the first period, central mineral source layers formed and minerals concentrated partly in the geological environment of Paleoproterozoic fault and Eopaleozoic plates active margin, through two volcanic sedimentation in different times. In the second period, that is Late Ordovician, the mineral fields in arcuate islands occurred crust-melting magma intrusion(459.6-441.97Ma), early hydrothermally-altered mineralization and late crystal-filling mineraltion due to the promotion of rock. The second period is main time of mineral field formation and the main part of deposits formed.
