    Abstract:

This paper carried out chemical composition on the dacite and granite-porphyry and SHRIMP zircon U-Pb dating on dacite and rhyolitic porphyry from Dabate ore district and adjacent area. The diagenetic ages of dacite and rhyolitic porphyry are 315.9±5.9Ma and 278.7±5.7Ma respectively. Analyses of chemical composition reveal that these volcanic rocks belong to calc-alkaline type and the trace elements and rare earth elements results show that these rocks underwent rather well differentiation and evolution. Accurate dating for volcanic and sub-volcanic rocks provided reliable data to constrain the tectonic setting for diagenesis. Combining the Re-Os dating data for mineralization obtained previously, we conclude that during late Carboniferous to early Permian (278.7±5.7Ma), the western Tianshan began to interplate conclusion and extension evolution stage. The partial melting of interplate mantle-root result the emplacement of deep-derived porphyry magma and formed volcanic apparatus which consist of granite-porphyry, rhyolitic porphyry and rhyolitic crystal tuff lava. Finally, there formed Dabate porphyry copper molybdenum deposit.
