    Abstract:

Scholars in many fields have been focused on the west of Ordos basin for long time because of its special tectonic location and the best anthracite at Rujigou mining area Ningxia. Beginning with areal geologic background, the authors have discussed the features of quartz vein at Rujigou mining area Ningxia, such as lithology, contact correlation with wall rock, scales, space-time distribution, attitudes, assemblage, mineral inclusion, and have compared the quartz vein with the veins within other coalfields and coal measures. It is considered that the quartz vein has something to do with concealed igneous rock., and its forming is because of pneumatolytic hydrothermal upwelling from magma differentiation in the deep. The quartz vein has dication significances for the tectono-thermal events, movements of fault and types of coal metamorphism. Researches in the paper has shown that coal metamorphism Jurassic at Rujigou mining and hydrocarbon reservoir-forming are under the influence of tectono-thermal events during late Jurassic-early Cretaceous. To same great geological events, responding of interior is different to that of edge in Ordos basin.
