    藏南雅鲁藏布江缝合带为目前国内铬铁矿储量最大的缝合带。本文报道了缝合带中段仁布蛇绿岩的豆荚状铬铁矿床,围绕矿床特征开展成因探讨,对缝合带的形成演化和成矿作用提供新制约。仁布蛇绿岩呈近东—西走向带状产出,主要由近30个大小不等的地幔橄榄岩体组成。地幔橄榄岩体主要为经历不同程度蛇纹石化的方辉橄榄岩和少量纯橄岩。在纯橄岩和方辉橄榄岩中发现多个不规则透镜状和团块状铬铁矿矿体,矿体长0. 5~5 m,厚0. 1~2 m,主要倾向为143°~245°,倾角为14°~70°;矿石以致密块状、浸染状和条带状为主,它们的尖晶石成分相近,Cr# (=100×Cr/(Cr+Al))为78. 4~80. 6,Mg#(=100×Mg/(Mg+Fe2+))为45. 8~72. 6,属于高铬型;与大洋中脊玄武岩(MORB)的尖晶石相比,仁布矿石具有较高的Mn和Co,较低的Ni和Ga含量,平衡熔体具有玻安质熔体的亲缘性,指示它们源自俯冲带上(supra- subduction zone, SSZ)环境;矿石的包裹体以针状和粒状单斜辉石为主,暗示矿床形成经历了深部与浅部的地质过程。仁布铬铁矿矿床的空间分布、岩石组合以及矿石成分与缝合带东段的罗布莎铬铁矿床相似,认为它们保留了拉萨地体南缘弧前伸展的深部记录,具有较好的成矿潜力。

    Abstract:

    The Yarlung Zangbo suture zone (YZSZ) in southern Tibet is the suture zone with the most abundant chromite in China. This contribution reports the characteristics and genesis of the Renbu podiform chromitites within the central YZSZ and provides new constraints on the evolution and mineralization of the suture zone. The Renbu ophiolite cropping out as an E—W trending belt is mainly composed of ca. 30 mantle peridotite massifs with varying occurrences. Peridotites from these massifs are predominantly harzburgites with minor dunites that experienced varying amounts of serpentinization. Several irregular lenticular bodies of chromitite with ore textures ranging from massive to disseminated to sparsely disseminated have been found in serpentinized dunite and harzburgite. These orebodies with 0. 5~5 m in length and 0. 1~2 m width show dip directions and angles ranging from 143° to 245° and 14° to 70°, respectively. The spinel grains from these chromitites are similar in composition with Cr# (=100×Cr/(Cr+Al)) ranging from 79. 0 to 80. 1 and Mg# (=100×Mg/(Mg+Fe2+)) ranging from 48. 6 to 68. 6, indicating that the Renbu chromitites belong to the high- Cr type. The Renbu chromites exhibit higher Mn and Co but lower Ni and Ga content compared to those in mid- ocean ridge basalt (MORB) and their equilibrium melts show boninitic affinity, which implies a supra- subduction zone (SSZ) setting. Both spheroidal clinopyroxene grains and needle- shaped clinopyroxene lamellaes could be distinguished in the chromites, suggesting that the formation of the deposit probably involved deep and shallow processes. Since the field relationships and ore compositions of the podiform chromitites in the Renbu ophiolite are comparable with those from the Luobusa ophiolite in the eastern YZSZ, we propose that the Renbu ophiolite is likely to preserve the deep signatures of forearc extension at the southern margin of the Lhasa terrane and is a promising prospecting area for chromitite.
