    1605年7月13日在海南琼山发生的M 7〖SX(〗1〖〗2〖SX)〗级大地震为南海北部陆缘地震带破坏性最大的一次地震,这次地震造成琼北海岸带大面积沉陷与东寨港100余平方千米的陆陷成海,地震震中与强烈沉降区均位于目前正在规划建设的海口江东新区。构造地貌调查与钻孔联合剖面揭露表明,分布于江东新区的马袅- 铺前断裂带由马袅- 罗豆断层(F2- 1)、海秀- 东园断层(F2- 2)及长流- 珠溪河断层(F2- 3)3条NEE向平行展布的北倾正断层组成,陆域全长约132 km,呈隐伏—半隐伏状态,总体表现为正断性质,局部兼右旋走滑。其中F2- 1断层长约132 km,第四纪以来断层垂直位移3. 4~14. 8 m,最新活动时代为早—中更新世;F2- 2断层长度大于50 km,全新世以来断层垂直位移1. 8~3. 3 m,最新活动时代为全新世,根据地震楔及断塞塘堆积判断F2- 2断层为琼山M 7〖SX(〗1〖〗2〖SX)〗级地震的发震构造;F2- 3断层长约58 km,上新世地层垂直位移112 m,最新活动时代为早—中更新世。结合马袅- 铺前断裂带的最新活动时代及其与琼山M 7地震的关系,提出了江东新区规划建设及建筑物避让活动断层的建议。

    Abstract:

    The 1605 Qiongshan M 7 earthquake in Haikou, Hainan Province was the most destructive earthquake in the northern continental margin of the South China Sea. The earthquake caused massive subsidence and over 100 km2 of land sank into the sea in the coastal zone of the Dongzhai Harbor area. The earthquake epicenter and strong subsidence area is located in the Jiangdong New District (JND) of Haikou which are now in the planning and construction of Hainan Province. The systematic investigation of tectonic landform and composite drilling geological section revealed that the Maniao- Puqian fault (MPF) zone in the JND is composed of three north- dipping normal faults parallel to NEE i.e. the Maniao- Luodou fault (F2- 1), the Haixiu- Dongyuan fault (F2- 2) and the Changliu- Zhuxihe fault (F2- 3). The total length of the fault zone is about 132 km, which is complete or partially hidden. The overall performance is a normal fault, and the right lateral strike slip is the local segment. The length of the F2- 1 is ~132 km with vertical displacement ranging from 14. 8 m to 3. 4 m since Quaternary,the latest active age of the fault is about late Pleistocene. The length of the F2- 2 is more than 50 km with vertical displacement between 3. 3 m to 1. 8 m during the Holocene,the latest active age of the fault is Holocene. According to the seismic wedge and fault sag- pond accumulation, it is determined that the F2- 2, a branch fault of the MPF zone, is the seismogenic structure of the M 7 Qiongshan earthquake. The length of the F2- 3 is~58 km with vertical displacement of 112 m since Pliocene, the latest active age of the fault is between early and middle Pleistocene. The redefinition of the MPF zone structure, the latest active age of the fault and the determination of the seismogenic structure of the Qiongshan M 7〖SX(〗1〖〗2〖SX)〗 earthquake are of great significance for the planning and construction of JND of Haikou and the avoidance of active fault for general or particular structure and building in this area.
