Abstract:Based on the characteristics of rock assemblages and regional comparison, this paper re- identifies the shallow metamorphic strata distributed in the Xihalahezi- Daguogui area in the south of Zhangguangcailing as the Yangmugang Formation. In order to determine the formation age and sediment source of the Yangmugang Formation, this paper conducted studies on detrital zircon U- Pb chronology and micropaleontology stratigraphy. Most zircons are euhedral- semi- automorphic crystals, showing a typical oscillating magma growth zone, suggesting its magma origin. The two sets of detrital zircon U- Pb measured in this formation produce multiple sets of harmonic ages. The minimum peak (harmonic) age of 56 points in the PM010- TW sample is 307 Ma, and the minimum peak value is 51 points in the DB02- TW sample. The (harmonious) age is 275 Ma; the Mesozoic Erlanghe Formation andesite overlying the Yangmugang Formation has a dating result of 181. 1±0. 8 Ma, indicating that the Yangmugang Formation was formed during the Early Permian. The assemblage of suspected source fossils obtained in the Yangmugang Formation has common molecules in the late Neoproterozoic- Early Cambrian and Ordovician strata. This, combined with the results of detrital zircon ages, reflects that there were Early Paleozoic and Meso- Neoproterozoic geological bodies around the Yangmugang Formation when it was deposited. The average value of Al2O3/TiO2 in clastic sedimentary rocks is 24. 44. The standardized curve of rare earth element chondrites has the characteristics of light rare earth enrichment, heavy rare earth stability, and negative Eu anomaly. Combined with the age frequency of detrital zircons, it can be seen that the deposits of the Yangmugang Formation mainly come from the mid- acid igneous rocks of the early Late Paleozoic around the sedimentary basin, and the secondary source is provided by the early Paleozoic geological bodies around the sedimentary basin and the Meso- Neoproterozoic geological bodies near the surface. The Jiamusi block provided part of the provenance for the formation of the Late Paleozoic strata on the Songnen- Zhangguangcailing block, suggesting that the Jiamusi block and the Songnen- Zhangguangcailing block had been combined before the Early Permian.
