Abstract:U mineralization section of CUSD 3 drilling core n Xiangshan of Jiangxi was selected as an objective in this study. Based on core observation and petrographic analysis, alteration zone was divided into five belts, which are center belt, lateral belt, nearside belt, distal belt and outside belt, hydrothermal alteration intensity of which decreases from inner to outside. The alteration types are mainly albitization, illitization, carbonation and apatization. The uranium content is positive correlated to the contents of Na2O, FeO, CaO, MnO, P2O5, which could be resulted from the albitization that superimposed on quartz and Kfeldspar. MgO. And Fe2O3 contents reduce gradually from inner to outer alteration zones, which were probably related to chloritization of biotite and plagioclase on both sides of the alteration zones. The trace elements (such as Sr, Pb, Zn, Mo, W, Bi, Sb, Ta, Zr, and Hf) are positively correlated to U. The U content in the strong alteration zone is much bigger than that in weak alteration zone, indicating that the oreforming fluid and material were derived from the depth but not from wall rocks. In addition, the total amount of REEs, δEu value, and positive correlation to U content in the alteration zones suggest deep source of the oreforming fluids in origin.
