Sediment-hosted Lead-zinc deposits,which are of variety in type and huge reserves, is the main source of lead and zinc resources in the world and, therefore, have been payed attention highly by ore deposit geologiest. In recent years, Sanjiang region became hot and frontier in deposit academic research due to its unique into ore-forming conditions and rich in metal mineral resources. Sediment-hosted lead-zinc deposits ,which are closely accompanying with each Cenozoic sedimentary basin from north to south, are widely development in research area.Mineralization occurred in the stage of structural extrusion transfer to extension during Himalayan collision orogenic process and metallogenic epoch is mainly concentrated in 41 ~ 20 ma; Deposit mainly hosted in Permian and Triassic limestone strata and controlled by regional thrust nappe system, which is nearly NS trend; Mineralization is mainly characterized by hydrothermal filling in the secondary structure of thrust fault, fracture and open space ; The wall rock alteration is very simple, only dolomitization, calcitization and weak silicification can be found; Besides Pb and zn, there are often a lot of accompanying elements such as Ag, Sr, Sb, Cu. Based on regional mineralization characteristics and metallogenic regularities, the prospecting criteria and direction are analysed.
