Abstract:This paper detailly study the volcanic rocks, which are defined as Precambrain volcanic rocks by regional geological comparison in past decades, at the Kalatage area in the central Tianshan tarrane, Eatern Tianshan Mountain, Xinjiang. In our studies, we obtain the crystallization age of the volcanic rocks is 347.5±5.9 Ma by zircons SIMS U Pb dating, indicate that they are carbineferous. Further more, several zircon grains, have precambrain age, inherit from the old crust of the Central Tianshan. These volcanic rocks, belong to the calc alkaline basalt andesitic serious rocks, are characterized by having relative low TiO2(0.85%~1.21%) contents, and high Mg#(46~64);enriched in LILE (Rb、Ba、Th、U),LREE and Pb elements, and that depleted HFSE (Nb、Ta、Ti); relative Eu negative anomaly (δEu=0.90~0.95); relatively high K2O+Na2O contents and radioactive Sr \[(206Sr/207Sr) i =0.70884~0.70920\], low 〖QX(Y12#〗ε〖QX)〗Nd〖QX(Y12#〗(t) 〖QX)〗(-4.4~-5.7); relatively high Th and Pb, low Ce/Th, Ba/Th, Ce/Pb and Nb/U ratios, all these characters indicate they are typical arc volcanic rocks in supper subduction zone. Moreover, the samples are characterized by relatively low Nb/U and Ce/Pb ratios, and the samples contain old xenocrystic zircons inherited from the old crust indicate the involvement the continental crust during the magma intruded. In summary, they are typical arc island volcanic rocks. Our studies discovery and devolve the Paleozoic arc island volcanic rocks from the Central Tianshan terran, and indicate the Central Tianshan Arc is a Jappen arc in the early carboniferous.
