Abstract:At present, we have not found the systemic introduction and study about copper deposit in Shandong province, based on numerous achievements in Shandong copper mine deposits scientific research and Land and Resources’ investigation of the present utilization situation of reserves, the copper resources basic condition and different copper deposit types’ characteristics in Shandong province is analyzed in detail. Base on research results, we classify 6 genetic types of copper ore deposits, as follows: porphyry type, skarn type, aminiplantation pyrometasomatic type, hydrothermal fluid filling type, continental vocanic hydrothermal type, basic ultrabasic type, of which the important types are porphyry type, skarn type , aminiplantation pyrometasomatic type, the rest of the types are most associated deposits of other metal minerals. Mesozoic Yanshanian is the most main metallogenic period, we research and illustrate typical copper mine deposits’ characteristics, according to the geological background and temporal and spatial distribution characteristics, we delineate 5 metallogenic prospect and key exploration areas, including zouping-zibo, laiwu, yinan, wulian-jiaonan, qixia-mouping-rongcheng areas.
