Abstract:Middle-Lower Yangtze Valley is an important poly-metallic mineral deposits base in eastern China. Prospecting the deep structure in typical deposits by advanced geophysical survey is necessary for finding out the origin of deep deposit and strengthening different geophysics technologies in mineral exploration. In this paper, we chose Nihe porphyrite iron ore in Luzong district, Anhui province, as an experiment plot, conducted audio magnetotelluric (AMT) sounding, controlled source audio magnetotelluric (CSAMT) sounding and transient electromagnetic (TEM) sounding in the same place. The results of data processing and inversion on same line indicate similar electrical character, though some details are different. Combined the results of three methods, we found out the interface of brick bridge group volcanic rock by electrical character, located the location and shape of invaded diorite-porphyrite, inferred the position of ore-body. This survey proved that after reasonable data processing and inversion, magnetotelluric sounding could distinguish subvolcanic rock and wall rock by the difference of electrical character, found the interface of ore-control structure, and then inferred the position of ore-body.
