Abstract:A number of quartz vein type gold deposits developed in the metamorphic clastic rock of the Xiajiang Group of Neoproterozoic in southeastern Guizhou Province. Some problems related to the ore genesis, especially for the material sources of gold, has always been a research focus. Therefore, the gold potentiality and element geochemical characteristics of formation rock in the Xiajiang Group received extensive concern, too. In this paper ,the trace elements and REE were carried out a systematic test, through comparing and analyzing,we found that Xiajiang Group section plane features rich in element As,Ba,Zr,Ti but poor in element Cr,Rb,Sr,Ta,Sc and etc. The Evolution of the element association showed obviously similarity and inheritance. Au is often enriched at Fanzhao Fm and Qingshuijiang Fm whice rich in tuffaceous rock , moreover, the REE contains is lower. The R-title clustering analyse shows that Au has a close genetic relationship to crustal material As ,Ag and Hg, implying that the migration enrichment of Au probably have close relation with the hydrothermal activity or regional metamorphism. The geochemistry of trace element and lanthanon partitions of REE are very similar in Xiajiang Group strata rock ,wall rock and ore .It indicates that ore-forming materials of gold may probably come from the Xiajiang Group strata .The geochemistry of quartz veins ore Pq3 was significant difference from the wall rock and strata ,but displays mantle-derived or the lower crust, this show that a part of deep fluid may be involved in mineralization .
