Through analyzing of the continental clastic hydrocarbon traps in Sichuan Basin, it is concluded that the traps in Sichuan Basin can be classified into three types: structural trap; lithologic trap; structural-lithologic componding trap. Pop-up is an important type of structural trap, lithologic trap is usually made up of superimposed multi-level sandstone. Traps in Sichuan Basin can separated into 3 belts from west to east: pop-up trap belt, structural-lithologic componding trap belt and lithologic trap belt, and the reason for this phenomenon is the zonation of Sichuan Basin: thrust belt, depression belt, uplift belt and steep folding belt. Besides, segmengation is another feature of traps’ distribution in Sichuan Basin, which is also under control of tectonic character evolution of Sichuan Basin.
