Abstract：Located in the southern margin of the east Kunlun, the Buqingshan area is the western extension of the A’nyemaqen ophiolite mélange belt which is made up of different tectonic rocks. After detailed field research and petrology studies on the ophiolites at Delisitan and Haerguole trenches in Buqingshan area, the LA-ICP-MS Zircon U-Pb dating of the gabbro in the two suits of ophiolite suggest that the 206Pb／238U weighted average ages are 516.4±6.3Ma (MSWD = 0.70) and 332.8±3.1Ma (MSWD = 0.75), which can represent their crystallized ages respectively. The results reveal that there exit two suites of ophiolite which are formed in early Cambrian and early Carboniferous in the research area, and they may respectively be the products of the magmatism during two periods of a paleo-oceanbasin spreading in the Buqingshan-A’nyemaqen orogenic belt, all of which may response to the geological evolution of the Proto-Tethys and Paleo-Tethys.
