Jining magnetic anomaly in Shandong province is a consanguineous association of gravity anomaly and magnetic anomaly. The area of magnetic anomaly is greater than 100km2and the peak of anomaly is 3800 nT. Through bore test ,iron orebodies are discovered in the bore deep 1041.57～1796.54m.The orebodies thickness is 74.04～220m.Average grades of magnetic iron in the ore are 15.89～25.19%.Ore types consist of banded calcite magnetite quartzite and banded magnetite quartz marble.Mainly mineral assemblage of the ore comprise quartz，calcite，magnetite，maghemite and siderite.The orebodies indwell in epizonal metamorphic rocks of Jining group .The deposit characteristices are differ from banded iron formation(BIF) and “Anshan” type iron obviously. Genetic type of the iron belongs to metamorphosed sedimentary iron deposit，which is relevant with phyllit，metamorphic intermediate-acidic volcanic rock and marble. Potential resources of the iron deposit are huge.
