According to the dynamic metamorphic characteristics, different metamorphic belts and mineral assem-blages have been identified with the microscopic method combined with field observations in the Shuangshan area, southern part of Tan-Lu fault belt within Anhui Province. Using the volume loss-element migration equa-tion , the gain and loss of different elements and components have been calculated in different dynamic metamor-phic belts, especially paying attention to the calculation of the releasing of CO2 in carbonate rocks. The mecha-nism of the releasing of CO2 has been discussed. The results have founded a theoretical and practical basis for studying CO2 releasing during the process of dynamic metamorphism in carbonate regions.
